Contract review for executive concerned about his post termination employment restrictions
We reviewed the proposed employment contract for a city executive looking to change jobs and lead a team move. Our advice included suggestions of guaranteeing payment of a bonus, negotiating for shares in the new employer company, protection against claims for breach of restrictive covenants and conspiracy on the team move. We reviewed the garden leave and notice provisions to advise on the length of time our client could be out of the market.
