Bonus scheme
We reviewed the bonus documentation and targets for our client who was a sales manager for a large high street chain. We provided guidance on the operation of the bonus, limits of and safeguards regarding the employer’s use of discretion, circumstances in which payments should be made and protections required to ensure the employer could not change the bonus scheme to reduce the payments due. As a result our client was confident that he could not be deprived of his earned bonus.
