Nationality race discrimination and employment law litigation for a UK national in a foreign bank
We advised an employee working in financial services on his claim that he was paid less and under-promoted compared to employees of the bank’s home country. We achieved a sizeable settlement agreement which included an element of lost pay under a compromise agreement. We reviewed the evidence tactically and presented a case to demonstrate that UK nationals were treated less favourably than the foreign nationals and received lower promotions and lower pay and benefits. The bank was keen to keep the clain quiet and we able to use that to obtain a settlement probably better than if the claim had been litigated.
