Employment grievance and protected disclosure

We advised an employee in relation to his concerns over his employer’s breach of regulatory requirements and the consequent potential impact on his professional reputation and credibility. The advice included use of the employer’s grievance process to maximum effect and the making of a protected disclosure under the company's whistle blowing policy, with the aim of avoiding an escalation of the matter into an employment litigation claim.  We eventually negotiated a compromise settlement agreement and an excellent reference which enabled the client to move on without any worries about the regulatory issue or any career damage.
