Gannons advises on the sale of Pocket Risk
Gannons represented the shareholders of Pocket Risk on the sale of some of their business assets to a Dubai based investment fund.
Pocket Risk is a fintech company behind a leading online platform analysing financial risk tolerance, and which can be found at www.pocketrisk.com. The acquisition was completed in Q4 2017.
Motivations for the sale
The sale was the result of a strategic portfolio-building acquisition. The sale of IP assets is a common way for overseas investors to get a foot through the door on the UK tech market.
The Gannons team advising on the matter was Corporate Partner Helen Curtis.
John Ndege, the founder, said:
“It was a pleasure to work with Gannons on the acquisition. They were fast, knowledgeable and effective. I’d be happy to work with them again.”
